It’s the last day of the campaign

Elon Musk and the First Lady of the House of Lords: Donald Trump’s Theoretical Address on a “Hot Topic” at the Lancaster Airport

A lot of votes could be cast in a few swing states on the last day of the presidential election.

Former President Donald Trump is hitting Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia on Sunday, while Vice President Harris was focusing on Black voters and young voters in Michigan.

During his speech at the Lancaster Airport, Trump told his supporters that this election is being stolen — a false claim he also made in the lead up to the 2020 election.

“We got a lot of crooked people out there — we’re fighting like a son of a gun,” Trump said while pointing to the press. “We’re fighting. They are fighting so hard to steal this damn thing. Look at what’s going on. Look at what’s going on in your state every day. They’re talking about extending hours and stuff.”

The former president provided no supporting evidence of the election being stolen, but cast doubt on voting machines citing tech-billionaire Elon Musk, who is backing Trump and has used his ownership of X, the online platform previously known as Twitter, to push misinformation about the electoral process.

The polls are just as bad as some of the writers there, according to Trump. “They can make those polls sing. They brag about it. I got a poll — I’m 10 points up in Iowa. One of my enemies just put out a poll — I’m three down.”

“Kamala broke it and we will fix it and we’re going to fix it fast,” Trump said after he arrived two hours late for his event. “America will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer and stronger than ever before.”

Organizing a Black-Holled Election Campaign: Martin Luther Harris, R.A.C. Cheung, and the Detroit Black Church

Harris attended a service for the fourth time in a row on Sunday. She planned to stop at a restaurant in the Livernois district afterward, a neighborhood with a lot of Black-owned small businesses, and then campaign at a barbershop in Pontiac. She will have a rally in East Lansing, Mich., on Sunday night.

Black voters and college students are key to the coalition the Harris campaign needs to get her across the finish line in states like Michigan, where the race is tight.

“Everyone must know that their vote is their power to determine the outcome of the election, and their vote will count. It does matter,” she told reporters.

“I would ask, in particular, people who have not yet voted to not fall for his tactic, which I think includes suggesting to people that if they vote, their vote won’t matter — suggesting to people that somehow the integrity of our voting system is not intact, so that they don’t vote,” Harris said.

Asked how her campaign would respond if Trump prematurely declares victory on Tuesday night — as he did in 2020 — Harris emphasized that U.S. elections and the U.S. voting system has integrity and can be trusted.

Steven Cheung said that Trump’s comment “has nothing to do with the media being harmed, or anything else.”

In his remarks on Sunday, Trump said he shouldn’t have left the White House after the election and joked about the media being shot during another assassination attempt against him.

“In these next two days, we will be tested,” Harris told the congregation at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, in Detroit. “These days will demand everything we’ve got.”

Harris also stopped by Elma’s Barber Shop in Pontiac, Minch. She spoke with local leaders and Black men. She is holding a rally in East Lansing, the home of Michigan State University.

For the fourth Sunday in a row, Harris attended a service at a Black church. She then worked the crowd at Kuzzo’s Chicken and Waffles in Detroit’s Livernois district, a restaurant owned by former Detroit Lions player Ron Bartell.

The Last Day of the 2024 Campaign. Where Are the Harris and Trump ‘Holeholders’ Harris and the Ugly Underdog?

Trump will wrap up with a late-night rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he closed out his 2016 win — and went back to in 2020, noting he was “a little superstitious.”

Harris, who has called herself the “underdog” of the 2024 race, will end with a concert at the “Rocky Steps” of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, made famous in the ultimate underdog movie.

This wasn’t supposed to be a swing state. Republicans carried it for decades, with the exception of former President Barack Obama in 2008. Trump won it twice.

Harris is spending the final day of her life in Pennsylvania, which is very important to the Democrats because of their 19 votes in the Electoral College.

Biden hasn’t been on the trail a lot. He made a campaign stop in Scranton on Saturday. He’ll be at the White House on Monday when Harris speaks to canvassers before they head out to knock on doors.

The Up First Podcast: The last mad dash of two Democratic presidential hopefuls in Puerto Rico, and a “floating island of garbage”

Both candidates are competing for Latino voters in Pennsylvania. About 570,000 Latino voters live in the state, most of them with Puerto Rican ties.

The Latino community was incensed after a comedian referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” during a Donald Trump rally.

Harris is having a rally in Allentown, which is one hour’s drive up the Highway 222 corridor, while Trump is holding a rally in Reading. In Reading, she will stop by a restaurant with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

Election Day is tomorrow. That means a last mad dash by the two presidential candidates to try and drum up enthusiasm for their supporters in a race that polls show is basically tied and one final symbolic push to get out the vote for each of them.

Why these women are secretly voting for Harris. And, how to avoid election misinfo by avoiding the final results of Boeing’s strike

Boeing’s striking machinists vote today on the company’s latest contract proposal. There were two previously rejected offers after weeks of the strike. Union leaders are supporting the new agreement, cautioning that members could end up with less if they choose not to accept it.

Republican women have been told in political ads and campaign speeches that their votes aren’t public. This means no one will know if they vote for Harris in secret. T is identified only as her first initial and she feels living in a politically divided household is affecting her marriage of over 40 years. The conflict between Sudan and the Sudanese Armed Forces (RAF) and the decision of Omdurman to be liberated

The ongoing conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the powerful paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces has severely affected much of the country. The cultural heart of Sudan was known for its rich history, including monuments and universities. After several months of battles between RSF and the SAF it was declared in May that Omdurman had been “liberated”. Since then, hundreds of people arrived daily, but the peace they find in Omdurman is only relative.
