New Hampshire Republicans have a choice of which party to support

What the media has to say about the state senator, Mike Sununu, and his experience in New Hampshire (and what he hasn’t)

Mr. Sununu said that his plan is to go back into the private sector after Mr. Trump leaves office. But he does not appear prepared for a total vanishing act.

“I like this media stuff,” he said in his interview with The New York Times, which was sandwiched among an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” a podcast hit and a Bloomberg interview in the span of 90 minutes. I’ve been able to see how the media works because of my quiet criticisms on the media. Some things I like. Some things I am not. I thought that I could add more color to what the media was currently doing and maybe enhance that game.

Mike Murphy is a Republican strategist who has run many primary campaigns in New Hampshire, including the campaign of John McCain. “He’ll leave office a very successful, multiterm governor. You will get a lot of offers from New Hampshire. They wanted him for the Senate last time. They can always want him to come back.

In New Hampshire, where Mr. Sununu lives, Ms. Haley had a huge moment in December, when Mr. Sununu endorsed her. If he ran, the governor would have experienced a lot of attention, and it has given him a taste of that.

Thomas D.Rantha, a former state attorney general, said it was like fantasy football. He was realistic enough to say that the bigger game was not going to work. This is the next best thing.

What does Trump really tell us about the Republican Party? A Conversation with Luke Rose, Phil Palker, and the Navy Employee at Yankee Lanes, Manchester, December 15, 2016

Jason Miller, a senior advisor on the campaign says Trump has not only unified the base behind him, but he’s also brought in new coalition of voters and expanded the party.

The choice is between Trump who is the embodiment of the new wave of conservative populism and Haley who more represents the limited government wing of the party that also supports strong foreign policy.

The more establishment, anti-Trump, forces within the party have long been clamoring for this choice, said Alex Conant, who helped lead Senator Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign in 2016.

The Republican party is in the spotlight due to the identity crisis and debate between populism and small-government conservatism.

The message that will be sent is that Trump has been chosen. Rose predicted that he was the one. We need to prepare ourselves for either a Biden or a MAGA America, whatever they choose to call it.

Luke Rose, a 26-year-old casino dealer, was bowling with co-workers at Yankee Lanes, a downtown Manchester bowling alley. Between turns, he described the way he views the conflict as being between what he calls the “MAGA idealism” of Trump and traditional conservative values of Haley.

Phil Palker says he’s one of those Americans. The 59-year-transportation worker, and former Coast Guard navigator, says Trump changed the party and he evolved with the former president.

He said that he was stagnant as a Republican. “But ever since Donald Trump started running in 2015, I think his message is revealing to who the party is.”
