Tim Walz, the Democratic National Convention, and the Rise and Fall of the Reproductive Right-Handed People’s Causal Rights Movement
The Democratic National Convention is done for the day. The party’s vice presidential nomination by Tim Walz was the finale but there were a few other twists and turns as well.
But a full lineup of other speakers will take the stage before Mr. Walz does at the end of the night. They include the former speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi; the House minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries; several senators and governors, and former President Bill Clinton.
Senior Democrats tried to paint a picture of unity under the leadership of Harris and Trump, while reproductive rights was again a focus of the night.
Tim Walz got a standing ovation when he entered the arena, and then delivered a personal address to the DNC.
“Let’s cut to the chase. I am too old to gild the lily,” said Clinton, who recently turned 78. “But I’m still younger than Donald Trump,” he added, to raucous applause.
