Steve Bannon, the Matrix of the Capitol, and the Charges of the Tyrannical Republicans: The Case of Hunter Biden
The allegations have been rejected by the Attorney General. Hunter Biden, the son of the vice president, has been indicted twice by the department for gun and tax crimes in the last few years. In addition, the department has charged two Democratic members of congress with corruption, and investigated President Biden over his handling of classified documents.
Trump’s supporters in Congress also have lobbed accusations of politicization against the Justice Department, pointing to the two federal indictments brought against the former president for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election and for hoarding classified documents.
The congressman who oversaw the congressional investigation into the attack on the US Capitol was sentenced to two years in prison for violating subpoenas. He was released from prison a week before Election Day, as both Trump and Harris gave their final messages in the campaign for the White House. Just hours after his release, Bannon returned to host a new episode of his daily podcast, “War Room.” Dressed in a black shirt and with his gray hair slicked back, Bannon falsely claimed that former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent him to federal prison as a political prisoner “to tamp down the power of this show and to break me.”
Bannon, 70, a longtime ally of and former strategist for Donald Trump, spent four months at a low-security federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut, for contempt after he defied a subpoena in the congressional probe into the January 6 Capitol riot.
“Four months in federal prison didn’t break me. It empowered me,” Bannon told his online audience. I’m in a better state of mind and focused than ever before.
Republicans, including Trump, argue that Democrats have weaponized the justice department and the legal system against them.
A line between reality and fiction becomes impossible when you flood the zone with shit, as was the description of Steve Bannon in his book.
Bannon has cast himself as a martyr—someone who, like January 6 rioters and like Trump, is being unfairly persecuted by the same tyrannical forces they’re up against next week in the election.
On Tuesday on air, and later at a press conference, Bannon repeatedly suggested that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi banished him to prison because she wanted to contain his influence.
He said that if you aren’t prepared to be sent to federal prison as a political prisoner, then you won’t fit into the movement. They want you to go to prison because they want to put you there. You don’t know what they represent if you can’t accept that.
War Room: The Biggest Dissemination Source of Falsehoods and the Clues to the Comeback of Bannon
The return of a huge entity to amplify the election fraud conspiracy is something that has already been raging online. The story of Democrats scheming to steal the election was spun by the man who was in charge of it.
After November 5, Bannon said Stalingrad is going to be the day. If they can take it away from Trump, then they want to delegitimize his victory.
A 2023 Brookings study on disinformation in political podcasts identified Bannon’s War Room as the biggest disseminator of falsehoods and unsubstantiated claims; about a fifth of all episodes assessed by researchers were determined to have claims flagged as false by debunkers such as Snopes and Politifact.
Fans are happy that he is back. One viewer on Tuesday wrote that they wanted Steve to get the sledge hammer and start smashing the thorns.
