The new GOP House member is accused of faking his bio.

The Times reveals the lies about the congressman-elect Joseph Santos, a candidate who broke promises and failed policies in the House

Joseph Murray said the Times was trying to make false accusations about the congressman-elect.

The discrepancies raise ethical and legal questions forSantos as he prepares to take on his role as a lawmaker as part of the new Republican majority in the House.

“Santos represents the kind of progress that the Left is so threatened by – a gay, Latino, immigrant and Republican who won a Biden district in overwhelming fashion by showing everyday voters that there is a better option than the broken promises and failed policies of the Democratic Party,” Murray said.

On a biography of Santos on the National Republican Congressional Committee website, he claimed he received degrees from New York University and Barcuch College. In at least two separate interviews, he stated that he had zero debt from his undergrad and graduate studies, and in one interview, he claimed that he received an NYUMBA in the fall of 2020. References to a master’s degree have not been shown in a review of his campaign websites.

CNN confirmed that Santos listed his salary of $750,000 this year and last at his company, the Devolder Organization, which he claimed was a family firm with $80 million in assets.

A search for the Devolder Organization found that the business was registered in Florida in 2021 and was most recently temporarily deemed “inactive” by the state after failing to file the required annual reports. There were no websites for Santos to go to and he failed to report any of his clients in his financial disclosure.

George Santos: Addressing a Defamatory Report on New York Times and the Governor’s ‘High School’ Insight into a New City

Santos defeated Democrat Robert Zimmerman in a newly drawn district covering parts of Queens and some nearby Long Island suburbs, flipping control to Republicans, who dominated the New York suburbs on their way to winning a House majority. The GOP mini-wave outside the city set off roiling recriminations among New York Democrats, including calls for the state party chair to step down.

Most of the criticism he was subjected to centered on his attendance of President Donald Trump’s rally in Washington, and his claim that he wrote a good check.

While some issues in the New York Times article are serious, I believe that George Santos should have an opportunity to respond to the claims made in the article by other news sources. Every person should have the opportunity to clear their name when accused. The principle is important to me, and I look forward to the Congressman-Elect responding to the news reports.

“Every person deserves an opportunity to ‘clear’ his/her name in the face of accusations,” Cairo added, saying he looks forward to hearing Santos’ response.

“It is no surprise that Congressman-elect Santos has enemies at the New York Times who are attempting to smear his good name with these defamatory allegations,” said Joseph Murray.

In this country, only a person who was able to rise from a basement apartment in Jackson Heights to become a successful business person can run for congress.

The owner of the gay night club that was the site of a shooting in 2016 claimed in an interview with WNYC that five of his employees died.

Santos said he had people that worked for him in the club. “My company at the time, we lost four employees that were at Pulse.”

Reply to the Concerns on the Biography of George S. Santos, a New York Lawmaker and a Representative of the Nassau County Assembly

The North Shore Leader newspaper had endorsed the Democratic opponent ofSantos and voiced skepticism about his credibility before the election.

McCarthy, who is still struggling to secure enough votes to secure the speakership, has not yet commented publicly on the controversy surrounding Santos’ biography.

There are serious concerns on the resume of New York lawmaker GeorgeSantos and he needs to clear his name if he is to win reelection, a county Republican said on Monday.

In a statement to CNN on Tuesday, incoming House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries called Santos “a woefully unqualified Extreme MAGA Republican who is clearly unfit to serve.”

Josh, a member of the Nassau County Legislature in New York, said Tuesday thatSantos should resign immediately.

He said he would write letters to the House ethics committee requesting an investigation and called on the attorney general’s office to look at campaign finance violations.

Congressman-elect GeorgeSantos has told many lies. Lying about where you live, lying about where you went to college and lying about your employees dying from a mass shooting are all disqualifications for office, according to Lafazan.

The man claimed to be the founder and leader of a charity called Friends of Pets United. But no such organization was found in the IRS’ searchable database, nor in the registered charities in New York state and Florida.
