“Three strikes and you’re out” is what the governor of Maryland says about Trump

What do you need to do in 2020 if we need to move on from Donald Trump? – Spokesman Jonathon Hogan on the issue of running in the US Senate

Hogan argued in Sunday’s statement that the party needs to move on from Trump. Hogan was seen as a potential contender for the GOP nomination in 2020 and was previously critical of Trump’s influence on the party. He has said that had he been in the US Senate, he would have voted to convict the former president at his 2021 impeachment trial.

Conservative talk about issues people care about like the economy and crime won, Hogan said. People who focused on conspiracy theories were almost universally rejected.

Hogan said no question about that when asked if the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff could be affected by Trump’s upcoming special announcement.

The December 6th runoff will be for the Senate seat after both candidates failed to get the 50% vote necessary to win the primary. The race for control of the US Senate is not likely to be affected by the Georgia election results or by the reelection of Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto. Vice President Harris is a Democrat and she is able to break ties.

Hogan called Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis “one of the important voices for the party.” After winning a second term as Florida’s governor last week, Ron DeSantis is being seen as a potential candidate for the GOP presidential nomination in less than a decade.

“I have long said that I care more about ensuring a future for the Republican Party than securing my own future in the Republican Party. He said in a statement that he won’t be seeking the Republican nomination for president.

The critic said that the stakes were too high for him to risk being a part of another multicar pileup that could help Mr. Trump regain the nomination.

Trump is making his third bid for the Republican nomination in a race that has been slow to take shape. Former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy entered the primary last month. The potential candidates for the GOP presidential nomination include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“We can fight the excesses of the elitist laws on the left,” he said in a message to the Coalition against anti-de Sitter

We cannot afford to be consumed by the pettiest grievances as we face great challenges. We can push back and defeat the excesses of elitist policies on the left without resorting to angry, divisive and performative politics,” he said in his statement Sunday.
