What is important to Pennsylvania voters

The Republican-Democrat Correspondence to Ed Grkman: Why Pennsylvania is a Toss-Up and Why Democrats are Fighting to Win

Retired Navy veteran Ed Grkman said he favors Donald Trump when it comes to the economy. The American flag was waved from a pole by the man as he cut his grass. Grkman lives off of a fixed Social Security income and said prices have increased over the past four years.

Donald Trump and John Harris are running for president in Pennsylvania. Several political watchers NPR spoke to say that the state is a toss-up and that the candidates are fighting to win votes here. It is crucial for the race because the state has 19 electoral votes, the largest share among closely watched battleground states. Pennsylvania residents have a track record of voting for the winner of almost every presidential election since Barack Obama won in 2008. The candidates need to win the state.

According to a recent Ad Impact report Democrats have spent more money on advertising in Pennsylvania than the Republicans have spent in the state.

Why Pennsylvania could be the key to the White House: The case for a toss up after a presidential assault on the First Lady

Harris sat for a testy interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier in Philadelphia last week, as she attempted to present herself as an alternate choice for Republicans who are unhappy with Trump. In this month, Trump returned to Butler, where he survived an assassination attempt this summer, and focused on immigration and border control.

Harris and Trump are the only two candidates who are in a close race here. The candidates are fighting to win votes in the state because it is a toss up, according to several Pennsylvania political observers.

If a candidate can convince a voter that they’re the right choice, they’re better off because they’ll take one out of their opponent’s tally. If I just turn out a voter, then I added one to my tally but I haven’t done anything to my opponent’s tally.

With just over two weeks until Election Day, the amount and frequency of ads shouldn’t come as a shock. The professor said bombarding state residents with TV ads is politically strategic.

Commercial breaks across the state are packed with attack ads. Some claim that the Vice President made inflation worse, while others claim that the former President had a role in the restriction of abortion access.

What matters to you? What matters? The message of Donald J. Lopez at the Pennsylvania Senate Minority Caucus & Report on the Morning Edition

Lopez said that he filled in his ballot and mailed it in. “If I keep talking, I’ll get weepy because I never imagined in my life that I would be voting for someone that looks like my daughter.”

Jessica Krayer, a lactation consultant at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, said supporting Harris and Democrats would help preserve abortion access in the state.

It’s never taken lightly, that’s why the decision to get an abortion is never taken lightly. No, my job is not to judge anyone. I don’t know what I’d do if there was a situation where I couldn’t feed another child.

At this time, Trump is a household name. His populist message continues to appeal to white voters without college degrees and older voters as well as blue collar workers in the state who have suffered because of the decline of the steel, coal and manufacturing industries.

Joe Hill said that Harris has a good appeal in the big cities because she is a Black and South Asian woman.

NPR is visiting six key swing states that will likely decide this year’s historic election. This week, Morning Edition is in Pennsylvania to listen to voters about what matters to them and how that will affect their vote.

Stress can’t be eliminated, but it can be managed better and sometimes even turned into a force for good by changing how you think about it. A psychologist says the stress response can give us the energy to deal with our demands. Explaining the benefits of stress responses helps people deal with stress in a healthy way. But it’s important to manage stress because it can persist during times when they are not needed and cause further problems.

Donald Trump has discussed using the military and the Department of Justice to pursue his enemies. This raises questions about how he would act if he were elected to the White House.
